Life Rugby
Since the mid-1950s, rugby has been recognized in the U.S. as the chiropractic sport. In 1980, Life University founded the Running Eagles Rugby Club, which soon became one of the nation's premier rugby teams. Today, Life's rugby team is fortunate to have the full support of the University with its College Premier team and Super League team. After winning the 2008 USA Rugby Division I National Championship title, Life was invited to compete in the Super League, the highest level of rugby competition in the U.S. The team is continuing to dominate the rugby scene in this semi-professional league. Life finished runner-up in the 2011 season after suffering its first loss of the year to San Francisco Golden Gate in the championship game. Life's College Premier team is also gaining national exposure. The squad boasts six players selected to the Rugby Premier Division Mid-South All-Conference team after reaching the USA Rugby Quarterfinals this season.
