Life University's hockey team belongs to the American Collegiate Hockey Association and competes against major colleges including Colorado State, Florida Gulf Coast, Davenport University, Ohio State and local rival Kennesaw State.
The team is coached by NHL legend Dan Bouchard who played for the Atlanta Flames (1972-1980), Quebec Nordiques (1980-1985) and the Winnipeg Jets before retiring in 1987.
Bouchard coached Life University's Running Eagles to five ACHA Division II National Championships from 1995-2002.
