Big Improvements for Women's Cross Country at Dalton State Classic
Women's Cross Country - Mon, Sep. 19, 2016

The Lady Running Eagles finished third out of eight teams at the Dalton State XC Classic (pre SSA conference) this past weekend. The weather was significantly cooler than in their first two meets, resulting in faster times for the squad.

Senior and team captain Cora Atkinson led the pack with a sub-20 performance (19:57), followed by sophomore Elizabeth Skipper with just a 22 second gap in between. True freshmen Tatiana Gonzalez and Nylah Brown both had huge personal redords today, marking 1:40 and 1:35 off their previous personal bests, respectively. Senior Victoria Favela-Parra "Tori" rounded out the top 5 for the Running Eagles with a time of 21:23.

Additionally, Alex Moton "Mo" made her debut today for the Life U squad and made a huge contribution, finishing 21st overall with a time of 21:48. Angerika finished 22nd with a minute improvement from last week followed by Mariana, Maria and Hanne with big performances as well. Next race will be Saturday, October 1 in Louisville Kentucky.
