Cross Country Peaking at the Right Time
Women's Cross Country - Mon, Oct. 26, 2015

For their last regular season meet before the conference championship, the Life U XC team traveled to Charleston, SC for the Sand Shark Invitational.  With perfect weather conditions and a great course, the Running Eagles put on quite a display finishing 11th out of 28 teams, beating three other conference teams, and overtaking teams that had beaten them earlier in the season.

Most impressive is that all eight runners ran personal records (PR) for the season, and six of those were career personal records:
Cora Atkinson ran 19:33 to finish 35th out of 264 runners (career PR)
Elizabeth Skipper ran 19:42 to finish 40th (career PR)
Jaichelle Thomas ran 20:11 to finish 59th (career PR)
Victoria Favela-Parra ran 20:40 to finish 83rd (career PR)
Stephanie Estrada ran 21:14 to finish 100th (career PR)
Annie Diaz ran 21:51 to finish 118th (season PR)
Rachel Taylor ran 22:31 to finish 137th (career PR)
Mariana Sanchez ran 22:41 to finish 143rd (season PR)

The ladies are peaking at the right time, with the Mid-South Conference Championships just two weeks away in Bowling Green, KY.  Congratulate them on their results from last weekend and wish them luck in the MSC Championships!
